My Opinion About WantedList:
Wanted List is a DVD rental and VOD site and therefore you have a choice between two different membership types, which will give you access to different amounts of content. If you choose VOD, there are 4500 movies (19,500 scenes) and if you choose the rentals, you get to select from 27,466 movies. It's actually quite a significant difference. However, you can check out both before deciding which membership type suits you because they have free trials. The free trials, which are 24-hours, give full access. The catch is that you can't download the movies.
Even with full memberships, you can't download movies. All the titles are available as 640x480 Flash streams and recently iPhone streams have been added. Wanted List may have been an AVN award winner for three years running, but without downloads I don't think it's really all that competitive with similar sites that do offer downloads and for only a slightly higher fee. Then again, other sites probably can't boast quite as many DVD titles, either.
Movies are added daily and on the day of my visit there were five new titles ready and waiting. Each new film fit into a different category. There was a big tit movie, a blowjob flick, an Asian and a teen POV video and a fetish DVD. I liked the cross section and it was certainly better than finding all new updates in one category only.
There are 29 category choices. Most fit into the straight niche, but there are fetish and BDSM, gay and transsexual categories for anyone who likes to diverge from the norm every once in a while. Aside from searching categories, you can browse by studio, by VOD or DVD, most watched titles or pornstars and hot recommendations. You can type in a keyword to search as well. Initially, I keyed in the first name that came to mind, 'Jenna Jameson'. While there was a model profile, there weren't any VOD or DVD results. I decided I'd better try some niches, and tried a femdom search with no results turning up. Bukkake didn't return anything either, so I refined my search. The advanced feature allows you to choose by different filters. You can search titles, narrow by performer, director, studio and by selecting the listed niches. It's a fairly standard search engine.
I was actually a bit shocked to find some great classic porn like 'The Devil in Miss Jones' and even a whole series of John Holmes flicks. The classics category was pretty full, which is unique because most sites like this only offer newer titles, not that there's a lack of newer titles on the Wanted List. There were even full anime and hentai DVDs and educational flicks, which is really rare on sites like this, but I loved the really wide selection of categories. Of course, the bulk of content fits into mainstream categories like amateur, MILF, gangbang, cumshots and masturbation for example.
Final Verdict:
While I wasn't keen on the whole VOD/rental and no downloads thing, I found myself actually thinking that this isn't a bad join. The Wanted List features all the recent DVD titles that you could want, and it also provides so many really unique categories that other DVD rental or even archive sites just don't offer. I ended up liking this site a lot more than I thought I might, even if there aren't downloads. I even ended up watching a slew of films!
